The executive management team of Master Marine AS comprises the following :

Per Johansson, CEO
  • Per Johansson who obtained his Naval Architect M.Sc from Chalmers University of Technology, has 24 years of experience and expertise in transport and installation of heavy construction elements in the marine environment. He was the initiator behind several successful offshore projects such as Hibernia Deck Mating (38 000 T), pylon caissons lifting, transportation and installation (20 000 T) in Øresund Link Project, lifting and decommissioning of Brent SPAR, Transportation and installation of RNAD Facility 210 in Coulport (80 000 T). Mr Johansson had previously worked as a Marine Contracts Manager for Neptun Heavy Lift AS.


Christian Mowinckel, CFO

  • Christian Mowinckel obtained his MBA from University of Wisconsin in 1979 and holds a  business and economics degree from Bedriftsøkonomisk Institutt in Oslo. He has 30 years of working experience in the field of finance from international banking, metallurgical, engineering and the offshore industries. He has held managerial positions with Møller Group, DnC (Hong Kong), DnC/DnB NOR Group, Elkem ASA, Kvaerner Investments (Hong Kong), Deloitte, Ocean Rig ASA and FPSOcean AS before joining Master Marine AS in April 2010. He resides in Oslo.


Thor Stenersen, Marketing Director

  • Thor Stenersen obtained his degree of Lieutenant Commander from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy. He served in the Navy as a supply and contracts officer before joining Statoil. With more than 25 years of working experience in the Oil & Gas industry and having held senior positions in Statoil, Kværner, ABB, Vetco and Aibel, Mr Stenersen now joins Master Marine as part of its management team. His vast and varied experience within the fields of project execution, strategic procurement & contracts as well as international business development will no doubt be an asset to the Company.

 

Jan Ingar Knudsen, Project Director 

  • Jan Ingar Knudsen is a qualified Naval Architect/Marine Engineer from the Norwegian Technical University of Trondheim, NTH. From 1975 all his professional work has been related to offshore field development projects, mostly within marine operations, subsea development and pipe-laying. He has background both from the contractor side, and from the marine warranty surveyor side with DNV and from the oil company side with Saga Petroleum, Statoil and Hydro. He has been responsible for the marine operations related to major field developments and has also had the position as project manager for development projects. In addition to projects in Norway he has been involved in projects in GoM and Brazil.

 

Jetmund Hansen, Project Manager

  • Jetmund Hansen is a qualified Naval Architect with 30 years experience, of which 25 years have been in the Offshore Industry. His experience in offshore projects comprises of various tasks such as: construction management, load-outs, towing, heavy lift transport operations, offshore lifting, offshore installation operations and field engineering. Mr Hansen was also Statoil's Marine Representative in the Snøhvit LNG Plant Project and the Åsgard Field development.


Michael Koch, Technical Director

  • Michael Koch holds a Masters degree in Naval Architect (M.Sc.) and has 23 years of experience ranging from marine shipbuilding to the ship equipment industry. Apart from being a marine engineer with the Swedish Navy, he has also held positions which require both technical and commercial skills. Mr Koch has previously worked as a developer for a ship consultant company, as Area Sales Manager for Berg (CP propeller supplier) and as Product Sales Manager for Kongsberg Norcontrol (ship automation equipment supplier). His last employment was as a Sales Manager for MacGREGOR (cargo access equipment supplier), prior joining Master Marine in 2007.


Karl Rygh, HSEQ Manager

  • Karl Rygh holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineer degree with Honours and has 16 years of experience from the classification society DNV. His experience includes offshore drilling and topside equipment, ship newbuilding site supervision, ship piping and cargo handling system and environmental regulations related to ship design and ship operation. Mr. Rygh comes from a position as Head of Section for DNV’s MARPOL section.

 

Dag Burgos, Engineering Manager

  • Dag Burgos holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has 17 years experience in design of offshore installations, ships and bridge building equipment. Mr Burgos has participated on the design of new topside structures on fixed and floating units. He has also participated in the construction and installation design and of subsea structures, pipelines and spools. His last employment was Rigid Pipe Supervisor at Technip Norge.

 

Marianne Kirknes, HR Manager

  • Marianne Kirknes holds a degree as a psyhcologist (Cand Psychol) from studies at Sussex University, UK and Århus University, Denmark. She has 7 years of experience from HR processes working with leadership development, recruitment, testing, competency development and change processes. Her experience comes from working as an HR manager in ICA. Further her most recent experience comes from working 3 years as an external consultant and managing a Nordic team of consultants for SHL.  During her time in SHL she worked as a project manager for global companies like: Akersolution, StatoilHydro, Telenor and Outukumpo.
